To establish and grow an electrical contracting business following God's principles and will, to serve the customer to the best of our ability. Emphasizing job completion on schedule, workmanship and integrity, while providing a challenging and rewarding atmosphere for employees.

Our History

Kilgore Electric was started after Ron relocated to Lancaster County, PA to pursue an environment to better raise his family. Being in the electrical field since 1978, he found the job market challenging after moving from New Jersey. After being employed for a short while at a local contracting firm, Ron along with his wife Lisa decide to start an Electrical contracting business of their own. Thus, Kilgore Electric was created. Ron started Kilgore Electric as a "one man show" in 1994, but soon hired his first employee in 1995. His company has had steady growth over the last 23 years. The team now has 12 employees including Ron and Lisa’s three sons Austin, Colin, Carson. Austin and his wife Erin became owners in 2025.

Clients include residential Homeowners to commercial businesses, who need a reliable electrical contractor for all their electrical needs. Founded in 1994, located in New Providence, and still family owned and operated. We place high value on top notch customer service and delivering results on time and budget.

2026 | Service areas now include Southeastern Pennsylvania, including Lancaster, Wyomissing, Parkesburg, New Providence, and surrounding communities.

  • Code Excellence Award from Manheim Township, recognizing local contractors and trade professionals who demonstrated exceptional code compliance and craftsmanship, 1999
  • Certificate from Pennsylvania Builders Association for being a 10 year PBA Compensation program participant

Community Involvement & Industry Engagement

  • Partnered with Paul Risk Construction on the facility buildout for Solanco Neighborhood Ministries, providing electrical installation to help expand local community support services in Quarryville, PA.
  • Continued Building Industry Association (BIA) Participation: Kilgore Electric is an active member and contributor within the Building Industry Association of Lancaster County. Their involvement includes participating as a trade advocate and contributing to regional BIA workforce and trade initiatives (such as the Building Futures industry programs).
  • Proud to have served as the electrical subcontractor alongside Caldwell, Heckles & Egan (CH&E) on the $4.6M multi-hangar expansion at Lancaster Airport (LNS), providing complete power distribution and electrical infrastructure.
